Life and work experiences require that we learn about vicarious trauma, burnout, impact of community trauma and radical resilience skills for ourselves. There is a heightened need to understand these during a pandemic.
It is particularly important for those serving their communities to understand the impact that challenges and multiple traumatic events have on us personally and how this impacts our professional responses, capabilities, and responsibilities. Following that understanding, it is important to move forward with increased understanding and practice the skills of Radical Resilience.
This training will provide valuable contributions to learning, recovery and moving forward for those working in direct service or simply supporting others during this time of uncertainty. By bringing together participants from different parts of the globe we can find common themes and challenges; share lessons and support; and increase our learning and growth.
Due to the experiences participants bring with them to the discussions, each workshop will feel personalized and relevant to the workshop group.
